Jobs Fair at The Collective Sharehouse

A quick reminder that our Jobs Fair is coming up soon here at The Collective Sharehouse at Clements Hall.

This event is primarily for residents local to us in the Micklegate Ward area, as part of our ongoing local support work. If you know someone nearby who’s looking for work, thinking about a change, or just wanting to explore what’s out there, this could be a really helpful opportunity.

We’re welcoming employers who recruit for York Racecourse and other racecourses across Yorkshire, and they’re actively hiring right now. Roles include hospitality, catering, stewarding, security, customer service, grounds work, and other behind‑the‑scenes positions.

 On the day, people can:

• Meet employers face‑to‑face

• Learn about flexible and seasonal roles

• Ask questions directly

• Find out what skills are needed and how to apply, with support on hand

• Discover opportunities they may not have considered before

There’s no need to prepare anything – just come along, have a chat, and see what might be a good fit. Many people find that speaking directly with employers opens doors that online applications never do.

 Dates:

• Tuesday 20 January – 9.15–10.45

• Friday 23 January – 9.15–12.30

 Location:

The Collective Sharehouse @ Clements Hall

Nunthorpe Road, YO23 1BW

Please help us spread the word within the community.

  • the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month, &

  • the last Wednesday of each month     (no appointment necessary).

They are very happy to chat about any problem, big or small and they want to hear your ideas about how the area can be improved.
